In their words:

"This was our first year at Camp Taylor and my family had a great time! We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived at camp. The heart education with the mentors and Dr. Desai was a highlight for us." ~Family Camp attendee

About Family Camp, HI:

Family Camp Hawaii is a program provided for families from all of the Hawaiian Islands. The location of our program is Hilton Hawaiian Village. This beachfront property is the perfect location for the Ohana's of Hawaii to come together and meet, share and enjoy family fun. Our Family camp program offers fun family activities, ocean adventures, treasure hunts, Question & Answer sessions with our Medical Director and much more support for the underserved population of pediatric cardiac families. Come sing with us under the stars and enjoy the campfires!

About the Staff

Our Staff will have your family laughing in no time with games & songs! Unique to the Camp Taylor Family Camp programs is the priceless connection that our attendee families get to make with our mentors from our teen camps. Each family has a mentor (teens ages 16-21 with heart disease) assigned to their family throughout the weekend camp to spend time with. Every family that attends camp believes that the mentors are THE BEST part of camp! They are fun, full of energy, life experienced, amazing young people that know what it’s like to grow-up with heart disease and they are available to share their life with everyone attending.

How much does it cost?

Our organization and Kardiac Kids work diligently each year to raise the $1200 cost to provide a free camp to each family. However, there is a nominal $100 registration fee for each family of 4. Due to the Hawaii Fire Marshall Code there is a maximum room capacity of 4 people per room. Families of 5 or more are required to pay $600 for the additonal room cost. Aside from this registration fee, camp is free to all families.

Who is Family Camp Hawaii geared for?
Children of all ages with heart disease and their families are invited to attend (families consist of Mother, Father and siblings living in the same home.) This camp program is geared to heart families from the Hawaiian Islands.
